Pecan Pie


Ingredients

Pie Crust

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup Crisco
  • 1/4 cup water

Filling

  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 Tbs flour
  • 3/4 cup white karo
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

  2. For pie crust, cut 1⅞ cups flour into crisco.

  3. Add salt to flour and crisco mixture

  4. Mix 1/8 cup flour with 1/4 cup water, and add to flour/salt mixture

  5. Roll dough into pie crust

  6. For the pie filling, mix ingredients in order.

  7. Pour into uncooked pie shell

  8. Cook for 45 minutes or until firm and brown.
