Flan Cake


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cajeta
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 12oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 Tbs. vanilla
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 4oz. package instant vanilla pudding (small box)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spray angel food cake pan with non-stick spray. Pour 1 cup of warmed cajeta into the bottom of the angel food cake pan.

  2. Mix 3 eggs, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon of vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Pour over the cajeta.

  3. Mix yellow cake mix, instant vanilla pudding mix, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 cup of water, 4 eggs and 1/4 cup of oil. Beat two minutes. Pour over the milk mixture. Bake in a 300 degree oven in a pan with 1 to 2 inches of water for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Oftentimes it will take longer than this.

It is in poor form to eat the just the flan and leave the cake.
