Cinnamon Rolls


Ingredients

Rolls

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbs baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 6 Tbs butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. In large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt.

  3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk. Knead 6 to 8 strokes to mix thoroughly.

  4. Lightly roll out into 8"x16" rectangle.

  5. Pour melted butter over roll dough.

  6. In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for topping. Sprinkle sugar mixture over dough.

  7. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut into 1" slices. Put in greased pyrex pan.

  8. Bake 12 to 15 minutes
