Monster Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ tsp vanilla
  • 3½ cups + 2 Tbs. flour
  • 1½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. Cream butter, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, soda and salt.

  4. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

  5. Divide into thirds. Spread each third onto a greased 12” pizza pan.

  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. (Dough can also be baked in pie pans yielding nine 6” cookies.)

In 1996, Daniel and Ben raised $200 to buy their first CD-ROM drive by selling these cookies.
